Our Policy

Welcome to the App and Services (as defined below) of DASH, Inc. ("DASH", "we", "us" and/or "our"). This App and the Services are operated by DASH and have been created to provide information about our company and its mobile application services for students and education institutions (such education institutions, our "Client(s") (such services, together with the App, the "Service(s)") to our users ("you", "your"). This Privacy Policy sets forth DASH's policy with respect to information, including personally identifiable data ("Personal Data"), and other information that is collected from App visitors and users of the Services. The use of information collected through our Service shall be limited to the purpose of providing the services for which the applicable Client has engaged DASH as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Important disclosures and consents

Unlimited data and messaging plans are recommended for our Services. Standard data and messaging charges and taxes from your carrier apply.

We collect, maintain and use the geographic location of your mobile device (we call this location fix of your device "location information" or "geo-location") to provide our Services.

By using the DASH Services, you have consented to: (1) the use of your device's location to provide our services; (2) receive emails; and (3) pay carrier data, messaging, and other fees resulting from DASH usage.

The DASH Services default privacy settings are set for the way that most Users use the services, changing these settings is easy, select "Settings" under your profile on the DASH application.

Please note that any personal information you voluntarily disclose online becomes publicly available and can be read, collected, and used by others. DASH is not responsible for the information that you choose to disclose publicly on or through the DASH Services.

Information We Collect

When you interact with us through the App or the Services, we may collect Personal Data and other information from you, as further described below:

Personal Data That You Provide Through the Service

We collect the following kinds of personal information from our Clients:

Contact information such as name, email address

Unique identifiers such as user name, account number or name, password

Location information derived from your wireless carrier, certain third-party service providers, or directly from the mobile device that you used to register. This location tracking of your mobile device may occur even when the App is not actively open and running in the foreground.

We use this information to:

Respond to customer service requests

Administer your account

By providing DASH your email address, you consent to our using the email address to send you Service-related notices, including any notices required by law, in lieu of communication by postal mail. We may also use your email address to send you other messages, such as newsletters, changes to features of the Service, or special offers. If you do not want to receive such messages, you may opt out or change your preferences in your in-app Settings, under Notifications. Opting out may prevent you from receiving messages regarding updates, improvements, or offers. You may not opt out of Service-related e-mails. If you correspond with us by email, we may retain the content of your email messages and our responses.

DASH collects information under the direction of its Clients, and has no direct relationship with the individuals whose Personal Data it processes. DASH works with its Clients to help them provide notice to their customers concerning the purpose for which Personal Data is collected.

DASH has no direct relationship with the individuals whose Personal Data it processes. An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data should direct his/her query to the Client's Administrator (the data controller). If the Client requests DASH to remove the data, we will respond to their request within 30 business days.

Personal Data That You Provide Through the App:

We collect Personal Data from you when you voluntarily provide such information such as when you access the Services (for example, your name, email address, phone number, mailing address and device information) use certain Services, or contact us with inquiries. Wherever DASH collects Personal Data we make an effort to provide a link to this Privacy Policy.

By voluntarily providing us with Personal Data, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Data, you acknowledge and agree that such Personal Data may be transferred from your current location to the offices and servers of DASH and the authorized third parties referred to herein.

Non-Identifiable or Aggregated Data:

When you interact with DASH through the App or Services, we receive and store certain personally non-identifiable information. Such information, which is collected passively using various technologies, cannot presently be used to specifically identify you. DASH may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by DASH affiliates, agents or service providers. We may use such information and pool it with other information to track, for example, the total number of visitors to our App, the number of visitors to each page of our App, the domain names of our visitors' Internet service providers, and how our users use and interact with the Services. Also, in an ongoing effort to better understand and serve the users of the Services, DASH often conducts research on its customer demographics, interests and behavior based on the Personal Data and other information provided to us. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis. DASH may share this non-identifiable and aggregate data with the business you work for and our affiliates, agents and business partners, but this type of non- identifiable and aggregate information does not identify you personally. DASH may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our Services to current and prospective business partners, and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.

We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the App, to track users' movements around the App and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

Our Use of Your Personal Data and Other Information:

DASH uses the Personal Data you provide in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Data for a certain reason, we may use the Personal Data in connection with the reason for which it was provided. For instance, if you contact us by email, we will use the Personal Data you provide to answer your question or resolve your problem. Also, if you provide Personal Data in order to obtain access to the Services, we will use your Personal Data to provide you with access to such services and to monitor your use of such services. DASH and its subsidiaries and affiliates (the "Related Companies") may also use your Personal Data and other personally non-identifiable information collected through the Service to help us improve the content and functionality of the Service, to better understand our users and to improve the Services. DASH may use this information to communicate with you regarding the Services or to tell you about services we believe will be of interest to you. If we do so, each marketing communication we send you will contain instructions permitting you to "opt-out" of receiving future marketing communications. Note however that as user of the Service you cannot opt-out of some administrative communications that are reasonably necessary to the Service, such as billing or service notifications. In addition, if at any time you wish not to receive any future marketing communications or you wish to have your name deleted from our mailing lists, please contact us as indicated below.

Our App includes "Widgets," such as the "share this" feature or other interactive mini-programs that run on our App. These Widget features may collect your IP address and which page you are visiting on our App and may set a cookie to enable the Widget feature to function properly. Social media features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our App. Your interactions with such features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.

If DASH intends on using any Personal Data in any manner that is not consistent with this Privacy Policy, you will be informed of such anticipated use prior to or at the time at which the Personal Data is collected.

Our Disclosure of Your Personal Data and Other Information:

DASH is not in the business of selling your information. We consider this information to be a vital part of our relationship with you. We will share your Personal Data with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Privacy Policy. There are, however, certain circumstances in which we may share your Personal Data with certain third parties without further notice to you, as set forth below:

Business Transfers:

As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, Personal Data may be part of the transferred assets. If DASH is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our App of any change in ownership or uses of your Personal Data, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.

Related Companies:

We may also share your Personal Data with our Related Companies for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Agents, Consultants and Related Third Parties:

DASH, like many businesses, sometimes hires other companies to perform certain business related functions. Examples of such functions include an email service provider that sends out mailing information on our behalf and a hosting provider for maintaining our databases. When we employ another company to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information that they need to perform their specific function.

Legal Requirements:

DASH may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of DASH, (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Services or the public, or (iv) protect against legal liability.

Your Choices:

You can use the App without providing any Personal Data. If you choose not to provide any Personal Data, you may not be able to use certain Services.

Exclusions:

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any Personal Data collected by DASH other than Personal Data collected through the App or Services. This Privacy Policy shall not apply to any unsolicited information you provide to DASH through this App or through any other means. This includes, but is not limited to, any ideas for new products or modifications to existing products, and other unsolicited submissions (collectively, "Unsolicited Information"). All Unsolicited Information shall be deemed to be non-confidential and DASH shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose, distribute and exploit such Unsolicited Information without limitation or attribution. DASH does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 14: If you are under the age of 14, please do not submit any Personal Data through the Services. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide Personal Data on this App without their permission.

Public Areas:

Our App may offer publicly accessible blogs or community forums ("Public Areas"). You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. To request removal of your personal information from our blog or community forum, contact us at support@the-dash.co. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.

Links to Other Web Sites:

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Services. The Service may contain links to other websites or apps not operated or controlled by DASH (the "Third Party Website"). The policies and procedures we described here do not apply to the Third Party Websites. The links from the Service do not imply that DASH endorses or has reviewed the Third Party Websites. We suggest contacting those Websites directly for information on their privacy policies.

Security:

DASH takes reasonable steps to protect the Personal Data provided via the App and Services from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. The security of your Personal Data and our Clients' information is important to us. However, no Internet, email or other electronic transmission is ever fully secure or error free, so you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us in this way. Changes to DASH' Privacy Policy:

The Services and our business may change from time to time. As a result, at times it may be necessary for DASH to make changes to this Privacy Policy. DASH reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time without prior notice. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by email (sent to the email address specified in your account) or by means of a notice on this App prior to the change becoming effective. Please review this policy periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Data. This Privacy Policy was last updated on the date indicated above. Your continued use of the Services after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Privacy Policy.

Access to Information; Contacting DASH:

To keep your Personal Data accurate, current, and complete, please contact us as specified below. We will retain your Personal Data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services contact us at support@the-dash.co.

We will retain and use your Personal Data as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We will take reasonable steps to update or correct Personal Data in our possession that you have previously submitted via this App or Services and will respond to your request for access within 30 days.
